Educating and Mentoring Parents
This program serves as an educational initiative aimed at supporting parents of children born with congenital conditions. Recognizing that caring for a child with special needs can present unique challenges, the program focuses on providing practical guidance, emotional support, and medical knowledge to help parents navigate their caregiving journey with greater confidence and competence.
Through regular monthly sessions, this initiative fosters a supportive community where families can learn from healthcare professionals as well as from one another. Topics typically include daily care routines, recognizing and responding to medical symptoms, promoting developmental progress, and accessing social support services.
By equipping parents with reliable information and a safe space to share experiences, the program aims to reduce anxiety and empower families to become more self-assured in meeting their children’s needs. Ultimately, the goal is to improve the overall well-being of both the children and their families, and to promote inclusion, dignity, and equality for children with special needs.
