Blessed Friday and AFO Shoes
Friday holds a special significance in Islam. Through the “Jumat Berkah” (Blessed Friday) initiative, we are encouraged to strengthen the values of compassion, unity, and sincerity in giving. One of the core benefits of this activity is the cultivation of empathy and social solidarity within the community.
At MPB Foundation, we believe that by giving to others, we not only help ease their burdens but also purify our hearts from selfishness. As promised by Allah SWT, those who give in charity will be rewarded with multiplied blessings.
Beyond individual acts of kindness, this initiative helps build a culture of generosity and care within society. When “Jumat Berkah” becomes a regular practice, it nurtures a spirit of mutual support, strengthens community bonds, and fosters an environment filled with love and compassion

It is undeniable that children living with Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida may also experience complications affecting other bodily systems, including the musculoskeletal system. In certain cases, children may develop deformities in their lower limbs, which require the use of specialized orthopedic footwear, commonly known as AFO (Ankle-Foot Orthosis) shoes, as part of their therapy.
AFO shoes are custom-made to fit each child’s specific foot structure and provide the necessary support during rehabilitation. However, due to their specialized nature, these shoes can be costly and are often unaffordable for families with limited financial resources.
Recognizing this need, the foundation is committed to doing its utmost to provide AFO shoes for children from underprivileged families, in hopes of supporting their journey toward optimal recovery and improved mobility. To date, one child has already received assistance in the form of AFO shoes through this initiative.
